Life with Kate!

We picked Kate up and headed straight for good West Coast-ish food at In&Out.

Honestly I've only eaten there 4 times now since they came to Utah because it's a "vacation food" and is not meant to be eaten in the snow or in daily life where someone shouldn't consume that much calories in one day since you have to go with buger, fries and shake of course.

But Kate was here so we were having a variation of a vacation.

We tried our very best to show Kate some good old Utah fun.

We hit Airbourne.

We tried to go to the Drive In . . . who knew it was so popular and pure CRAZY . . . so we didn't get in the first time.  So we did a little Leatherby's stop in our PJs, no shoes for Drew (apparently they're optional for drive-ins) and full on crutches for me . . . Blah.

We got her Coasta Vida, we did a little shopping (probably not nearly enough for her liking . . . sorry Katie), she helped me put on the big birthday party for Liv - I think she's a pro at duck tape cheer bows now.

We went to temple square on Sunday to see the Joseph Smith movie,

the Conference Center and she was game for a visit to my grandma on her mission.

And then she left us for EFY.  We met her roommate and then got some J-Dawgs . . . all was well.

Then she came back to us for the Draper parade, boating

and ahh . . . second (successful) try at the Drive-In.   But we had to forgo dinner and have stupid Drive-In pizza . . . but she was a good sport.

Our last day we went 4-wheeling, off to 7-Peaks and then some JCW's . . . Grandma Hatch knows the good life and sent money for JCW shakes.

We're kind of (really) hoping she does decide to graduate early, but if it's not only 2 years until she comes for school . . . we'll take her then too.
