Olivia: Mom, are you a cowboy?

Me: No.

Olivia: Moooom, are you wearing boots?

Me: Yes.

Olivia: You're a cowboy!

Writing still doesn't do it justice. I hope I can somehow remember her little voice and inflections forever.

Birthday Boy Daddy-O!

Ansen's mom's card pretty much summed up his Birthday this year. . .

You know when you get baby clothes for the new baby, marshmellow fluff for food storage and money for ammo to protect the home front for your birthday, you must be getting old.

This year we had birthday dinner, cake and presents on Sunday. It turned out to be our mock St. Patrick's Day too since everyone but 1 wore green. Monday, the girls and I took Ansen his annual birthday balloons at his office (Olivia picked him out a pretty pink balloon) and went to lunch. On Tuesday, Ansen's actual birthday, he left to San Diego on a business trip and went to a baseball game that night with the guys from work to celebrate.

Happy 33rd Birthday Ansen!

Procrastinator!

My new calling is Enrichment Leader. We just had our Relief Society Birthday dinner and it turned our really nice, though lots of work I wanted to save until the last 3 days so that I'd be tired and crazy. But it was great and our committee is awesome!

Big day for comments . . . .

Me: Addison, I'm finally fat and really big. I can't hardly put my own shoes on!

Addison: Maybe we need to find a diet for you.

And later, an idea . . .

Addison: Maybe Olivia and I could drive in the Barbie Jeep and you could kind of jog by us for some exercise.

Out on a walk . . .

Addison: It smells like hamburgers.

Olivia: (Smelling the air) I can smell somting. It smells like pumpkin pie.

Olivia: Mommy, do you like me or not?
