Labor Day

Labor Day began as our traditional breakfast up the canyon or at the park  . . .

But the power kept tripping, 1/2 the outlets didn't work, Dad had already ran to Walmart twice for extension cords and such, and we just couldn't cook our planned feast . . .

so we abandoned the park and came to our new - only in for 2 days - house.  And good thing Mom had brought everything prepared to cook at the park because my kitchen amenities were just as helpful as the park's would have been.

Back to 1988 . . .

We got into Rollerblading this Fall.  We had mine and Heather's old rollerblades and then Heather picked up enough roller blades at garage sales for the rest of them.

And they've been at it all Fall.

I wish I had pictures of the beginning when Drew and Eden spent the whole time clinging to my car in the driveway, crawling around the cold-de-sac, and knocking each other down.

We had to designate specific "roller blading" clothes because it was ruining the knees in all his new school clothes.

They're profesh now and go straight down the driveway . . . and up.

Drew even picked out a special prize at pre-school . . . a rollerblade sticker.

Surf - Fall 2014

Addie tried out for competition soccer this year and got on a Surf team.

They've had a rough start as a new team, but at least they finished strong with a win.

And Addie still had fun . . . at least they won some :)

Futsal starts in a few weeks - which we've never done so that will be new for us.

And my 3 tote-alongs.
The back pack chairs and the Sunbrella were life changing this season.

Luckily

these three had Banna and Branda to keep them busy.  Or maybe it was Banna and Branda had these three to keep them busy.  Either way, everyone was happy.

My mom did finally admit that potty training is not easy.  I started potty training Drew Saturday and got in the accident Monday.  Banna has had to do the rest.

Corn Belly's

I'm behind . . . the story of my life. Anyway, we went to Corn Belly's at Thanksgiving Point on KBull 93, 93 cent night. And it felt worth the money for that price, especially since we never even went into the Corn Maze.

Here's a picture of Ansen showing the girls "how it is done" with the lasso. Actually Grandpa Hatch is really good with a lasso and some of it rubbed off on Ansen, but it looked like he was due for another lesson soon.

Scarecrow Festival - Round 1 & 2

Last Thursday was a big day out! Marianne, her boys (Rhett & Jack), and me and my girls went to the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point. I was seriously thinking Marianne and I were going to spend $20 and then the kids would last hopefully an hour and we would call it a day. We were pleasantly surprised and it was a lot of fun. At first it wasn't looking good since we spent a good half hour watching people drive remote control cars, but then we found the blow-up toys . . . All in all, it was great fun. So . . . Ansen and I went back that night for more family fun.

The best part of the night for Olivia and then having to share the best part of her night.

THS the best . . .huh!

Tonight was a big night for us Sportswise. The Yankees beat the Red Sox coming back from 5 behind but more importantly . . . . Timpanogos beat Orem High (35-32)! It was Orem High's homecoming, which only made the victory sweeter! This is only the second time we've beat them and I'd like to comment that both my brothers were involved in the 2 wins. Jeff played a lot tonight, especially for a Junior and I couldn't be prouder. Addison watches his number and gives us status reports by the minute on whether is helmet is on or off and if he's drinking water. Ansen has a well trained sports lover devloping in Addison. I couldn't find my THS sweatershirt (look as I did) so I just wore a blue sweater to show some Timberwolf pride, not thinking until I got there that I could have easily been confused as an Orem fan (nothing could be more horrible).
