Olivia: Mom, wheresh my kitty?

Me: Do you mean Addison?

Olivia: No, wheresh my kitty?

Me: Addison is at the bottom of the stairs.

Olivia: (Runs to the stairs) Commere Kitty, it's mommy.

Addison and Olivia play "cat and mommy" all the time. The cat amazingly stays on a lease and ruins the knees in all her pants. The mommy is surprisingly patient and very attentive. Sometimes I get to be the mommy and then I get 2 cats.
I don't even really like cats.

The Joys of My Life!

We got pictures taken and we finally picked them up. Olivia was the BIGGEST stinker that day (surprise!) and of course Addison was all smiles. The only ones we got of Olivia smiling is when I was hitting Ansen in the face with a tree branch (my idea, obviously not Ansen's).

To Do: Vote . . . Check

Ansen spent 2 hours voting, I spent 15 minutes. Tonight Ansen will stay glued to the TV for hours and I will be in the other room. I don't like the anxiety of waiting and watching as one state ticks by at a time. There's nothing I can do to change the outcome, so just tell me the outcome when it's all done!
Whatever the outcome, I have my concealed weapons permit class scheduled and Ansen's on the hunt for a new, special assault rifle he thinks we won't be able to get for very much longer. Oh, and I've been feverishly working on my food storage! Yeah, I guess it sounds like in our eyes Marshall Law is around the corner and the world is coming to an end. We'll see.

Happy Haunting!

Halloween . . . I LOVE IT! It's my fav holiday!
It all starts with Carmel apples, pumpkins and sugar cookies at Banna and Branda's house.

Then the afternoon at the Barnyard Boo with Mason, Luke, and Tori - balloon animals, cookies, hay ride, tattoos, the headless horseman (Olivia-"I saw a horseman with no head!") and pony rides!

Thursday Night: Pumpkins on Parade at the school then sew like mad, literally apply glue from the glue gun directly to my finger, and finally fall into bed.
Next, Addison's school parade and class party (I got to be a room mom for the first time ever! Let's hope it's still fun 4 kids down the road.).

Next, every year we take lunch to Dad and then trick or treat at his office. This is where we really make our haul in candy.

And finally Trick or Treating around our neighborhood and then off to Banna's house for Spider Pretzels, Bloody Fingers, homemade root beer, candy organizing and a "pretty" movie-Scooby Doo.

And for the 2nd time in my whole life I didn't dress up. I'm a huge disappointment! But we still had fun and I even bought sparkles for the girls' hair (definitely a highlight)!

Watching Scooby-Doo: Pirates Ahoy . . .

Olivia: This is scarey. Mom, is this scarey?

Me: No, Olivia it's not scarey.

Olivia: Is it cute?

Me: Ya, it's cute.

Olivia: (pause for pondering) No, it's not cute Mom. It's pretty.
