Now Preforming . . .

Come to the Circus! Watch the talented Ring Master, Olivia Kate in action.
One of our exciting new shows performed daily at 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Olivia's monkey, Ashleigh (one of her most promising) does just as directed.

Monkey: Do you want me you hold you for a minute or put you in your crib?
Ring Master: Crib

Monkey: (monkey stands up, walks to crib)

Ring Master: No. Hold you.

Monkey: (Monkey sits down)

This and many, many more performance are preformed daily. Come and watch as the commanding Ring Master directs her dumb monkeys (Ansen, Ashleigh and Addison) to jump through hoops, run in circles, do a little dance and many more pathetic tricks by merely whining, crying and pouting. This incredible show is sure to not disappoint.

(I know Olivia is kicking my butt. Olivia knows she's kicking my butt. I know what I need to do. Now please give me the patience, love, endurance and commitment to do it.)

Something like that . . .

Addison gets flash cards from kindergarten to practice the "sight words" with and this is what she came up with "I like to see the Temple."

The Duck Park

The Duck Park or I should say A Duck Park.
One of the people I do work for is really close to a Sugarhouse duck park. Often times I will have Ansen meet me there to eat lunch with the girls while I go to work for an hour. Since Lisa moved close she's met me a couple of times and played with the girls. She's still familiarizing herself with Sugerhouse since she just moved there a couple of weeks ago. So the first time we met at the the duck park she said it was close to her house and she knew exactly where it was. I sat and waited and waited in front of the pond and finally called her. She was also sitting in front of the pond waiting. Turns out it was a different duck park which took us a while to figure out. I started trying to direct her to where I was and she saw the park and pulled up to the pond and still couldn't find me. Turns out it's another duck park. We finally found each other and so now we have to say A duck park instead of the THE duck park since apparently there's at least 3 duck parks in a 2 block radius in Sugarhouse. I guess they love their ducks up there.

Once in a Blue Moon Date Night

This weekend Ansen and I went out since I feel like we haven't really had time to talk in a long time and we had the best server at Olive Garden. I mean an incredible server. We drove all the way to the Sugarhouse Olive Garden, but we got free soda and did I mention the excellent customer service?

My hot date

Ansen's even hotter date

And our awesome server. Can you see the warning in Lisa's eyes that says: DO NOT TAKE THAT PICTURE (but I did and I posted it).

95% and still nothing . . .

Addison has been in swimming lessons for the last 2 weeks. I signed her up at 2:00 a.m. (when sign ups opened), I take her everyday, I sit and watch so that I can make all the appropriate comments afterwards, I take pictures, I prepare swim suits and towels everyday, and I entertain Olivia . . . so I would say that's 95% of the work. Ansen brings home the paycheck that pays for the swimming lessons (Addison doesn't get this anyway) and Ansen takes her to swimming lessons ONE day and it's the happiest day of her life. She can't stop talking about how Dad took her to swimming lessons. At least she loves her Dad and I know she appreciates me deep down too.

At the end of every class they were supposed to dive for the rings. At first, Addison would just lift them up with her toes until she could grab them and keep her head totally above water. Then the teacher told her she should try going under to get them, so she would walk around until she found the ring, step on it with her foot and only go under long enough to bend over and pick it up. She finally started "diving" the second to last day. She's a thinker that girl is.
Here's Olivia keeping herself busy with her headband and 3-D chalk glasses she thinks are sunglasses.

Addison:

There's a boy in my class named Avery. He's a boy, not a girl named Avery. We were playing at the kitchen and someone told Avery to be the brother. Avery said, " No it's PRU-THER." And I thought, "ummmm, oh -my -gosh, someone needs to tell this boy it's BROTHER." But I didn't say that out loud.

The Chicken Dance Collection!

I recently finished all 3 seasons of Arrested Development and before you jump to conclusions of laziness and slothfulness. . . I watch TV/Movies at night while I work (tonight is the end of Heroes and then Seabiscuit). Anyway, I LOVE Arrested Development and am devastated that it was cancelled (never mind that that was 2 +years ago and I'm barely watching it for the first time). Anyway, here's the Chicken Dance Collections I found online. I'm just guessing, but you may only really appreciate it if you've watched the show or maybe not because it is hil-ar-i-ous .

My Joy Today

I love, love, love play group!
I've been doing play group with Addison since she was 2 and I love it! We started with 3 kids and we're up to 6 now in this ward. I love it because first the obvious, I get 5 weeks of 2 hours to myself while O's asleep and Addison is playing. Second, I love listening to the laughing, the giggles, the funny little conversations, the squeals and even the funny arguments! Today was our turn and we got to be outside most of the time. So my joy today . . . 7 cute little kids, outside in the beautiful weather, getting exercise and giggling (while I pruned my bushes).

Visit from Grandma!

Grandma Hatch came to visit this weekend from Maine! And we had such a relaxing and FUN, FUN, FUN weekend! We shopped, we ate (and ate and ate), we went to Jeff's football game, the Dino Museum, Thanksgiving Point Gardens, visited friends in Utah from Maine, and just enjoyed being together. Addison and Olivia ate up every minute with Grandma. Grandma sends each of the girls a letter with stickers and $1 every week. Olivia is old enough that she's now put it all together and now know who is sending the letters. The best part was probably the pink cowboy boots with pink jewels Grandma brought for the girls.

The Dinosaur Museum (not on crazy $2 Tuesday!)

Pink Cowboy Boots . . . I think anything goes with these!

Thanksgiving Point Gardens
Thanks for coming Grandma! We love you!
