Drew: 18 months

We call him Mute Boy now because the boy does not talk.  We know he can though.  We learns one word at a time, says it all the time and then moves onto a new word and never comes back to using the previous words.  One Sunday we did get him to say a whole slew of words, but nothing since.  Every once in a while he surprises us with a "where'd it go" or a "there it is" or sometimes a "hi dede (Addie)."  But for the most part, just mute.

Accomplishments:  Runs, kicks, throws, climbs and jumps like crazy, Consistently folds his arms for prayers, Goes to nursery and co-op babysitting HAPPY, Drinks out of water bottles (in the car) pretty well, Keeps himself busy most of the time.

Why We Love Him Right Now:

He loves to do every ones hair (round brushes, hairspray, his hairdryer, mouse . . . the works) and he loves to have his hair done  (see post here)

He'll sleep until 7:30 sometimes now

He constantly brings me an old power ranger so I can set the head back to the person head ready for him to flip it to the helmet head - he loves it every time

He's still a big, big scaredy cat.  He's afraid of Branda's monkey, the Halloween rat in a box (okay, so maybe  rightfully so), the flying monkeys, Ansen's flying remote helicopter . . . and so on

He loves to snuggle!  He gives great kisses and tight little hugs!

He thinks walking down the hall behind him is your way of initiating a game of chase and we LOVE his funny little run right now.  It's half run, half gallop.

His official "smile" for the camera is the best!  It's borderline scary, it looks awful in pictures, it's always on cue, but we love it!

We're all so amused by how easy-peasy it is to distract his busy little mind.  Just one little question like "where's your tummy?" and he's totally distracted from the treat and Barbie he was zeroed in on.  It's our little game we play with him so we can all laugh, and if we're laughing, he's laughing, so it's a win-win in the end.
