There was a muddy, muddy lake and a million (no exaggeration) baby frogs. Drew found two special little guys – Douglas and Tiger that he carried around all day squeezed in his little hands or in a water bottle. I’m surprised they survived that “experience” for the day.
It rained for a little bit and so we hung out in the car. Drew dumped his little buddies out and what do you know . . . they tried to jump to freedom. We caught Douglas again, but Tiger disappeared under the seat and that was that.
Ansen tries to convince me that he’s sure he jumped out, but there is no way I’m digging under that seat for my phone or any long lost item.
So Douglas is our family pet.
And who would have thought we would like a frog so much? We catch him several dead and live flies per day – luckily we seem to have a plethora and we’re all pretty skilled in fly hunting and fly catching.
