Ansen and I took our kids camping. Let it not be said that we "collected" camping gear for the first 5 years of our marriage for no reason.
Our ward was split earlier this year, and our new ward takes a friendly crew camping every year to the Palisades, so we decided to tag along.
We had the tent, the air mattresses, s'mores, cards games, fires . . .
and figured out a way to bring food that did not have to be cooked.
Since it turned out fun . . . I think we'll go again, come earlier and be prepared to cook at least one meal . . . but we'll see.
