When the Cat is Away . . .

 . . . the Mice will Play.

Jeff was gone to Lake Powell with the rest of my family, so while we were over at the house anyway, we decided to "borrow" the Jeep and go to the canyon for dinner.

It's probably the most spontaneous thing we've done in awhile and it was definitely fun.

The kids LOVE the Jeep . . . obviously. 

What young kid wouldn't?  I wanted one so, so, so bad for most of my teenage years.

"Luckily" Jeff gets to live that dream out for me.

And though I'm over the Jeep phase . . . the tight seating arrangements for the kids, the wind blown look, the possibility for the constant sunburns, the lack of a trunk . . . I still thought it was fun for a run.

It was so beautiful in the canyon and the trees are just barely starting to turn colors.
